On behalf of the International Federation of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Associations (IFATSEA), it is my singular honor and pleasure to welcome you to the IFATSEA General Assembly 2026, taking place from 8 to 13 November 2026 at the beautiful Argyle Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

The theme, “ATSEP VAR: Valuing, Acknowledging, and Recognizing the Safety-Critical Role of ATSEP Professionals” is particularly important as it reflects our collective commitment to highlighting the indispensable contribution of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) to the safety, efficiency, resilience, and modernization of the global air navigation system.

Welcome to the 54th IFATSEA General Assembly

It is with great honour and privilege that I welcome all affiliates, observers, industry partners, and distinguished guests to the 54th IFATSEA General Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya.

On behalf of the IFATSEA Africa Region, I extend a warm African welcome to all participants joining us from across the globe for this important gathering of ATSEP professionals, chiefly organised by IFATSEA, under the stewardship of our President, Ing. Frank Kofi Apeagyei, and arranged courtesy of our affiliate and esteemed host, the Kenyan Air Traffic Safety Electronics Association (KATSEA).

This year’s theme, “ATSEP VAR: Valuing, Acknowledging and Recognising the Safety-Critical Role of ATSEP Professionals,” reflects both the challenges and opportunities facing our profession today.

It is with an immense sense of pride, professional fellowship, and profound privilege that I, on behalf of the Kenyan Air Traffic Systems Engineering Association (KATSEA) and the entire aviation fraternity of Kenya—to formally extend our heartfelt invitation to the entire global ATSEP community and all key aviation stakeholders to the pulsating heart of East Africa, our magnificent capital city with the national park bordering it as we host the 54th IFATSEA General Assembly from the 8th to the 13th of November 2026.
