About IFATSEA
The International Federation of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Associations (IFATSEA) is the global voice for Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP).
Founded in 1972, IFATSEA unites ATSEP associations from around the world to promote safety, efficiency, and regularity in international air navigation.
IFATSEA works to enhance the status and recognition of the ATSEP profession, encourage the exchange of technical knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of air traffic safety standards globally. The General Assembly is its highest governing body, convening annually to discuss key issues and set the direction for the federation.
About KATSEA
KATSEA is the professional body representing Kenya’s Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel—the engineers and technical specialists responsible for supporting the safety-critical communication, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management systems that underpin safe air navigation. The Association promotes professional development, technical competence, knowledge sharing and greater recognition of the ATSEP profession.
KATSEA has a strong record of regional engagement, having co-hosted the 8th IFATSEA Africa Regional Meeting with the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority in 2018. It will again welcome the global ATSEP community to Nairobi as host of the 54th IFATSEA General Assembly
